This page has an installer for the liblouis package used to translate text to braille command line program. This version has been modified to compile under MacOSX. It also include a free braille font and the Braille contextual menu that will place a U.S. grade 2 translation of seleccted text onto the clipboard.

translate is a phrase based translation program which can send its output to any device. It does not produce formatted pages as TurboBraille and NFBtrans do. Translate is able to do both text to braille and braille to text translations.

The installer will install the translate program in /usr/bin as well as in the Applications directory. the braille tables are located in /etc/brltables as well as in /Applications/liblouis/brltables the dynamic librarly is plaed in /usr/lib a braille display font is installed in /Librarly/Fonts
